Our work spans into custom electronics. Developed over 6 months, Versor is our first fully featured flight computer, which is planned to become the basis of all Bluebird flight vehicle avionics.
Built from a custom 4-layer PCB, Versor is a dual deploy flight computer and altimeter. Measures acceleration up to ±320 g, angular velocity up to ±4000 dps, and up to 200,000 ft of altitude. An error state Kalman filter is used for state estimation. Versor has onboard data logging capabilities, as well as a radio transmitting live telemetry to the ground.
Named after the unit quaternion, Versor also handles up to 4 PWM channels, used for active control projects and fluid actuators for liquid vehicles.
